Amazed. In awe. In LOVE. Japan had been on my bucket list for years, it just didn’t happen. It is my son’s dream destination (hello.. Manga fan:). So we decided to take him to his dream place and our gift for his 18th and grad. it didn’t take long to see how disciplined & polite people of Japan are, the clean streets, to no talking in trains, everything screams discipline. Japan is such an unique country, it can mix its ancient history and traditions, with its incredible modernization. Japan’s history has existed for a few thousand years now, and that until this day a lot of it remains very much alive. After travelling to many places around the world, I can tell you there is no place like Japan anywhere in the world. 3 days in taxco – The ultimate guide
3 days in Taxco, Guerrero was like a magical fairytale. I can honestly say it was the most mesmerizing and the most beautiful place in Mexico that I’ve visited. From taking the cable car, to riding in a sturdy VW Beetle, to the Cristo Monument, to getting lost in the cobblestone streets, eating churros and learning about Taxco’s past as a silver mining town – I fell totally in love with this city which is 3 hours south of Mexico City.
Taxco will surprise you. Taxco will take your breath away. Welcome to the the most Magical Pueblo Mágico of all of the Pueblo Mágicos- Taxco, Guerrero! Located just a couple of hours from Mexico City, Taxco is built upon a beautiful mountainside. It truly looks like something out of a dream! When you are walking the streets of Taxco you feel like you have stepped back in time! White with red tiled roof buildings, the streets are cobblestone, and the taxis look like VW Bugs from the 1950’s. There are surprises awaiting you around every corner and callejon!
In the early morning with the rising sun, the apricot-peach colored stone of the church of Santa Prisca and San Sebastián in Taxco, Guerrero, Mexico, seems to radiate with light. On a hill towering above the city around it, the church’s tall bell towers beckon people to enter its doors. The elaborate carvings on the façade and towers also seem to writhe with life. As shadows pass over the surface throughout the day, you could swear the building was moving. Imagine how striking it is to then enter the church and be completely overwhelmed with walls that vibrate with gold….
3 Days in Hampi – A forgotten Empire
Once a colorful Vijayanagara Kingdom, Hampi is now in ruins, beautiful ruins, a forgotten Empire. An empire that has stories to tell. Imagining the splendor in the once thriving kingdom as you walk through the ruins is an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Read on to learn more about one of the gems of Karnataka.
Once the capital of the ancient Vijayanagara Dynasty, Hampi is a hidden gem in India. It was once, after Beijing, the second largest medieval city in the world, with its ruins currently spreading over 4,100 hectares. It was even in the Ramayana! Hampi was probably the site described where the heroes Ram and Lakshman met Hanuman the monkey god, and Sugriva. With its rich history, it feels magical to know that you are stepping on the same ground that kings and queens did, and that there were once lively marketplaces where there are now ruins. It’s truly a mind-blowing experience. And, as a cherry on top, there are dozens of Gray langur monkeys in many of the locations :). …

Udupi Avvalaki/Aval Upma/Spiced Masala Poha
Udupi Aval Upma is a tea time snack also eaten during breakfast. It’s spicy, nutty and crunchy. It’s got the flavors of coconut, sesame seeds and spices along with jaggery to sweeten it up.
Last week a group of friends and I were discussing about how important it is to love ourselves, to be content and how to be self aware. It’s not something that comes easily. It requires consistent practice and over time without your knowledge, you are there, you really do love yourself. Just like this dish, it might look easy, but it has a good balance of many ingredients to all come together. It is about balance, about understanding the different aspects to coming to the final destination that you want.
The act of self love is often times misconstrued as being selfish. Coming to think of it, is it really being selfish?
If you got past that last sentence, then you have mustered every ounce of courage to finally teach yourself the essence of self-love.
In a world where we’ve been raised to put others first, self-love can often feel selfish. Setting aside time for self-love causes feelings of guilt, and we struggle to maintain a dedicated self-love practice. It’s frustrating. We know we need self-love, yet we have difficulty giving ourselves permission to experience it. Ironic, isn’t it?…

Great for breakfast that can easily dinner, takes only minutes to prepare, is healthy, and so good! Everyone is sure to love this fun and delicious way to enjoy fried eggs!
I love my eggs. Our family goes through eggs like there’s no tomorrow.
I like eggs. In fact, I like them quite a bit. In my kitchen or when dining out, if I have the option to add an egg to a dish, I will.
I love the act of holding the chilled eggs, tapping it on the side of the skillet and listening to it instantly sizzle in a pan. It’s a morning ritual that wakes me up, centers me and prepares me for a new day. My zeal for eggs reaches far beyond the breakfast skillet, though. The egg blurs the boundaries between breakfast and lunch and confidently pushes its ways into dinner territory….
