These Basic Eggless Waffles are easy to make, with simple ingredients you likely have on hand! They’re perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. They taste like the real thing!
We make waffles almost every week. Every kind of waffles you can think of. At any given moment, you will find frozen waffles in my freezer. So, it wasn’t a surprise to anyone when we named our rescue pup Waffles:).
You can find fancy party Waffles to fun colorful Belgian Waffles, to savory Waffles on the blog.
I can’t believe I haven’t shared this Eggless Waffles recipe with you before!! One of the most requested on instagram. These waffles are a staple around our house. I make them so often that I can almost do it with my eyes closed.
These waffles have such a rich, buttery flavor! They are Golden, slightly crispy edges, fluffy on the inside. Top these with some butter, maple syrup, and some fresh berries, but I’m telling you… they’re also amazing without any topping.
Nothing beats freshly made waffles, but if you have a crazy busy life like me these waffles are freezer friendly.
Basic Eggless Waffles
These waffles are made with very few ingredients and can be it’s as easy as 1-2-3. Add all the ingredients and mix and pour the batter in a waffle iron and cook. Since these are eggless, it might take another minute to cook. Try not to skimp on the butter for the richness.
HOW TO FREEZE AND REHEAT WAFFLES?
This is what I do: I wrap the cooled waffles in wax paper and then stack them all in a gallon-size freezer bag. Make sure to squeeze out as much air as possible in order to prevent freezer burn. When ready to eat, I remove the number of waffles I need from the freezer, let them stand at room temperature for 5 -10 minutes, and then reheat in the toaster oven until warmed through and crisp.
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- ⅓ tsp salt
- 2 cups full fat milk
- 2 tbsp oil
- 4 tbsp melted butter
- 1 small can sweetened condensed milk(it works better or ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp melted butter to make the waffles
- In a mixing bowl combine the flour, baking powder and sugar.
- In a separate bowl mix together the milk, oil, water, vanilla and butter.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, and mix together gently. As with all pancake batters, it should be slightly lumpy.
- Let the batter sit for a few minutes to give it time to puff up.
- Once your waffle maker is ready to go, depending on the size of your maker, scoop the batter in and enjoy! (for my maker I used ¼ cup batter for each waffle)
